Liêntừ (Conjunctions)
* Liêntừ :Làtừdùngđểnốihaiphần, haimệnhđềtrongmộtcâuđểtạothànhcâughép. LiêntừđóngvaitròquantrọngtrongtiếngAnh, đặcbiệtlàngônngữviết.Bởichúnglàmchocác ý trongmộtcâu, cáccâuvăntrongmộtđoạnliênkếtvớinhauchặtchẽhơn.
+ and (và) : Dùngđểbổ sung thêmthông tin trongcâuhoặcchomệnhđềđứngtrướcnó.
Vídụ: This film has some famous actors, and it brings great messages.  (Bộphimcónhữngdiễnviênnổitiếngthamgiavànómangnhữngthôngđiệptuyệtvời.)
+ but (nhưng) : Dùngđểnối 2 mệnhđềmangnghĩatráingược, đốilậpnhau.
Vídụ: My younger brother likes watching cartoons but I like watching game shows.  (Emtraitớthíchxemphimhoạthìnhnhưngtớlạithíchxemcácchươngtrìnhgiảitrí.)
+ or (hoặc) : Đượcdùngkhicósựlựachọn.
Vídụ:You can watch TV or listen to the radio.  (Bạncóthểxemtivihoặcngheđài.)
+ so (nên, vìvậymà, vìthếnên, vậynên) dùngđểnóivềmộtkếtquảcủasựviệcđượcnhắcđếntrướcđó.
Vídụ: My father often watches news programmes, so he knows a lot of information about society.  (Bốcủatớthườngxemcácchươngtrình tin tứcnênôngấybiếtnhiềuthông tin vềxãhội.)
+ because (vì, bởivì) : Dùngđểnóivềlí do củamộtsựviệcđượcnhắctớitrướchoặcsaunó.
Vídụ: I like this programme because it is very meaningful.  (Mìnhthíchchươngtrìnhnàybởivìnórất ý nghĩa.)
+ although/ though (mặcdù, chodù, tuyrằng) : Dùngđểnối 2 mệnhđềmàmệnhđềchínhmangkếtquảtươngphảnvớimệnhđềphụ, tạonênmộtcâukhiếnngườiđọc, ngườinghengạcnhiên.
Vídụ:-Although she had a good performance, she didn`t win the contest.  (Mặcdùcôấyđãcóphầntrìnhdiễntốtnhưngcôấyđãkhônggiànhchiếnthắngtrongcuộcthinày.)
- I decided to watch this film though some people said that it was not interesting.  (Tớquyếtđịnhxembộphimnàychodùmộtvàingườinóirằngnókhông hay.)
